Frequently Asked Questions
Ordering & Bookings
When can I place my order for the fall season?
We officially begin accepting orders on July 1st. Because we source a curated amount of rare, specialty heirloom pumpkins from local and regional southern farms, our delivery slots fill up fast. We highly recommend booking early to secure your preferred week.
Do you take a deposit, or do I pay in full upfront?
To lock in your delivery date and secure your premium pumpkin package, we require full payment at checkout through our website.
Can I customize my package or add extra pumpkins?
Absolutely! We offer several curated base packages and bundles, but you can easily customize your display by adding on specialized gourds, pie pumpkins, or even our post-holiday removal service during checkout.
Delivery & Installation
Do I need to be home when The Pumpketeers arrive to decorate?
No, you do not need to be home! As long as our crew has clear, safe access to your front porch or steps, we will work our magic, clean up the space, and leave you with a stunning autumn display.
What days of the week do you deliver?
We deliver and style porches Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will select your specific delivery week when checking out on our calendar.
Do you clean the porch before styling it?
We ask that you please sweep your porch and remove any old doormats or summer plants before our arrival. This gives our design team a clean canvas to build the perfect display!
Pumpkin Sourcing & Care
Where do your pumpkins come from?
We take immense pride in sourcing the freshest, prettiest, and sturdiest pumpkins available. We source locally from Alabama growers as much as possible. To ensure a gorgeous variety of unique shapes, colors, and elite heirloom gourds, we also partner with premier farms in our surrounding southern regions.
How long will my porch pumpkins last?
Heirloom and specialty pumpkins are naturally incredibly hardy and typically last anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks. Because they are a live product, their lifespan depends heavily on direct sunlight, local weather, and native critters (like squirrels!).
How can I keep my pumpkins looking fresh all season?
Keep them out of direct, blazing sunlight if possible, and avoid letting water pool beneath them. Pro-tip: Spraying your pumpkins with a mild water-and-bleach mixture or a pumpkin preservation spray can help keep pests away and lock in freshness!
Changes, Inclement Weather, & Uninvited Critters
What happens if a pumpkin rots early or gets eaten by squirrels?
Because pumpkins are live agricultural products, we cannot guarantee their lifespan once they are on your porch, and we do not offer replacements for damage caused by local wildlife or weather elements. However, if a pumpkin arrives damaged or experiences an unusual issue within the first 3 days of installation, please text us a photo and we will happily make it right! If you have an issue with squirrels reach out to our team and we may can help.
What if it rains on my scheduled delivery day?
The Pumpketeers work rain or shine! If the weather becomes severe or dangerous, we will contact you immediately to reschedule your installation for the next available safe day.
Cleanup & Removal
Do you offer a pickup and cleanup service after the holidays?
Yes, we do! We offer a stress-free Removal & Disposal Service that takes place the week before Thanksgiving or the week after Thanksgiving. You can easily add this service to your cart when purchasing your pumpkin package so you don't have to lift a finger when the season ends.
